Students are expected to arrive 10-15 minutes early for each class. This is so you have adequate time to change and stretch. Thorough stretching, to prevent muscle strain, is each individual’s responsibility.
If you arrive late, do your best to not create additional distractions. Change quickly and wait at the edge of the floor in Cha Ryut (attention position.) If the instructor does not see you, move slightly within their line of sight. When the instructor acknowledges you with eye contact — bow and ask “May I join class, Sir (Ma’am)?”
The instructor will give you a few warm ups to preform on the side. If they do not tell you to jump in when you are finished, you must again wait in attention until they invite you to join the class.
